Monday, October 30. 2006Clown Wheel My lazy man version of an eccentric wheel. It's a 16" rim inside a 20". The ride was kinda cool. Now to do a back one. Sunday, October 29. 2006Kustom Western Flyer Muscle Bike  70's era Western Flyer muscle bike. I replaced the original fork which was bent with a not quite as bent 26". I had to chop the original really long head tube down to accomodate the shorter steer tube on the different fork. NOS green glitter seat. New sissy bar had to be reshaped to fit the bike. Schwinn green glitter grips. Spray painted the frame and fork. Laced up a Shimano 3spd w/coaster brake which is controlled by a Shimano gooseneck shifter. Kustomized a reflector with a peace sign I cut out of aluminum. Profile "Imperial" chain ring. More photos... Tuesday, October 10. 2006Western Reserve Greenway - Ohio 2006 This is a rail-to-trail that has both paved and non-paved sections. We parked at the Munson Hill trail head and rode into Ashtabula then back past our vehicle and south towards the other end. We rode the entire paved section and a few miles of the non-paved untill it became too muddy where we turned around and rode back to our vehicle. This was 40 miles and took about 4 1/2 hours. It's an easy, straight, level ride. The fall colors were the highlight of this ride. We stayed the night prior to and after the ride in Ashtabula. Photos here. Trail website. Monday, October 9. 2006Bicycle Museum of America While in Ohio to ride a rail-to-trail we took a brief detour and stopped by the Bicycle Museum of America. This was a really nice museum. Wish we had more time to spend there. For photos Click Here. Museum website. Saturday, October 7. 2006Chopped Murray Cruiser This is a Murray cruiser frame that I've chopped a little. I cut out the top tube and seat tube. I then used the top tube as the seat tube and positioned it farther back than the original. I replaced the top tube with Conduit I bent with a higher arc. Spray painted the rims and laced to some old hubs. Also spray painted the chain ring spider. Added after market enders. More photos here.
