Route of the Hiawatha - Wallace, Idaho. This rail-to-trail is 16 miles in length, goes through 8 tunnels (you definitely need a headlight) and over 7 trestles. The longest tunnel took us under the Bitterroot mountains and to Montana on the other side. We rode up and back. We stayed at the Best Western in Wallace.
