I built this bike to be raffled off at the 2008 Midwest Bicycle Fest.
 Built mostly from parts I already had that I knew I wouldn't use. The frame came from this bike. I painted over the satin black powder coat with flat black. Build photos here. Saturday, August 23. 20081980 Schwinn Collegiate 3 Bought this today at a local thrift store for $9.99. It's the 3spd coaster brake version. It's in great shape. Upon bringing it home I aired up the tires and Nova rode it for a few miles. If it were red (the other color of this model) I think Nova would leave it as is but it might get a color change and maybe even the new Brooks saddle. Here it is in the catalog. More photos. Edit: This bike has since been sold. Saturday, June 14. 2008Early 60's Sears Spaceliner This is an e-bay deal gone bad. We purchased what was advertised as a 26" girls Spaceliner. Upon receiving the bike we find out it is a 24". We did work out a deal to get some of our money back but we're still not happy with the ordeal. Edit: This bike has since been sold. Tuesday, May 13. 2008Schwinn Mag Scrambler Muscle Bike Bought this at a garage sale in the summer of 2007. Built it up like a muscle bike for the ratrodbikes.com Kids Bike Build-Off.
