First time trying a faux deli meat. Was pretty good. I can see us eating sandwiches made with this on occasion.
We both thought these were good. Nova ate hers as a sandwich. Easy to make. Requires the use of a food processor which I tend to shy away from I suppose because it’s just more clean up.
Recipe from Veganosity.
1 package Beyond Meat Beyond Beef crumbles
2 cups uncooked brown rice
1 small onion chopped
1 bell pepper chopped (I used half a green and half of a red)
3-4 celery stalks chopped
1 jalapeno sliced
2 cloves minced garlic
Cook rice however you normally would
Brown the meat crumbles
Add veggies and continue cooking until veggies soften up
Add in cooked rice
Salt & Pepper to taste
We both thought this was really good. I used Pad Thai noodles and eliminated the ginger.
Notes: I cooked in the rice cooker after browning rice. I also added corn.
1 cup long grain rice
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 cup vegetable broth
Chopped fresh cilantro
In a big sauce pan brown rice in oil.
Add garlic and cumin and stir.
Add tomato sauce and broth.
Bring the mix to a boil then turn heat to low and simmer till all liquid is absorbed.
Stir in cilantro.
We both thought this was really good. Recipe here.
I omitted the ginger and I dipped the cauliflower in to the sauce verses drizzling the sauce over.
